Will you look at that.

Took this pic on my way to HSBC to get my new ATM card. Cloudy, yes. But no rain whatsoever. That's Signal No. 1 for you, folks. PAGASA boys and girls must be shaking their heads while turning beet red.

If you still don't believe that the environment is seriously fucked-up, then you need to have your brain checked. We better start giving Mother Earth the love and care she deserves before she completely turns her back on us.

What's in a bag?

  • May. 1st, 2009 at 8:16 PM
A bag meme over at VOX. Was planning to snatch this from Mitchiko but I got tagged by Hazel, hehe. So this is what I lug around everyday to work.

Inside, you'll find these.

  • Folding umbrella because it's been raining these past few days
  • Mimura, my MacBook
  • Mimura's charger
  • Genji, my iPod Touch
  • Notebook which I got from Beijing and a glittery blue pen for jotting down ideas, taking notes, and/or doodling
  • A not-so Kikay Kit which contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, a pack of tissues, oil-blotting film, Calgon Hawaiian Ginger cologne spray and Nivea Cherry Lip Balm
  • Mentos Ice Blast gum
  • House and office keys
  • A comb
  • wallet
  • Gan-chan, my Nintendo DS Lite
  • my Nokia E65, which is not included in the photo because it's what I used to take the pictures
And this is why, ladies and gentlemen, I can never be the minuscule-shoulder-bag-wearing kind of girl. XDDD

Tagging Shin [info]mukmuk_girl , Prec [info]prec_xv , Diane [info]eyecatcher_101 , Amam [info]amampotita , Pla [info]matsumania and anyone else who wants to do this. ^_^

I am completely head-over-heels in love with these teal gladiator ballet flats from The Ramp. Sorry for the sucky pic taken by the sucky phonecam. They're seventy-eight bajillion times prettier in real life (and really comfy too). Yes, unbelievable as it may seem, I have my kikay moments too. I am a girl after all, and if there's one thing girls all over the world have in common, it's the love for those cute little pieces of artwork that adorn the feet. XD

The Banaue Rice Terraces is one of the many things that make Philippines truly an amazing place. The moment I set foot in Ifugao and Mountain Province, only one thought was running in my head: I am so proud to call this country home. :)

Here's how it goes:
1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List (and upload, if you feel like it) 5 songs that start with that letter.
3. Post them to your journal with these instructions.

I saw this meme over at [info]harunomasu  and wanted to do it as well. Since we got into talking about Backstreet Boys, she gave me the 2nd letter of the alphabet to work on. I've also uploaded the songs on my MediaFire account so feel free to download. No pressure though. XD

Balaclava by Arctic Monkeys
B for Brit! Bloody brilliant blokes. The confidence is the balaclava, I’m sure you’ll baffle ‘em good.

Blue Light by Bloc Party
From one of my favorite bands evaaaar. Heartfelt melody, well-written lines. Kele Okereke simply takes the words out of my mouth. And you didn’t even notice when the sky turned blue.

Back2me by Eraserheads

A fun fun fun song by a band dubbed as “The Beatles of the Philippines.” I grew up listening to their songs. Their music is the music of my generation. Paano na yung mga crossword puzzle na hindi natin natapos?

Bathwater by No Doubt

Blue polka dot dress. Luscious red lipstick. Yellow midriff and jersey. Bindhi and mendhi. I miss Gwen Stefani circa 1996. I can’t help it, you’re my kind of man.

Believe by Arashi

Last but definitely not the least, something from five Japanese guys who never fail to make my heart go doki-doki. This is the theme song for Yatterman, Sakurai Sho's (my ichiban!) movie that's breaking box-office records in Tokyo right now. It's a brand new world!

That's it. So friends, if you're bored and want a letter as well, you know the drill. :)

O! Diyos ko!

  • Jan. 10th, 2009 at 11:36 AM
Finally, we can scream and curse out loud in Pare Ko! We'll get to hear about the girl who looked just like Paraluman and taught Ely and the boys the true meaning of love with Ang Huling El Bimbo! We'll get to hum at the top of our lungs until the blood vessels in our neck pop after wishing "Sana sa susunod na issue ay centerfold ka naaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaa..." in Magasin!  IT'S COMFEEEEERMED!!! Thank you, Nikka, for the heads up.

This just in! Supreme Eheads scoop!: Eheads fans, this one's for you!

It’s confirmed. The Eraserheads concert “The Final Set” is set.

Save the date: March 7, 2009.  The concert is produced by MTV and Smart with the venue yet to be announced.

For now, it’s a tossup between The Fort and SM Mall of Asia grounds.

They’re just about to sign the contract and will have their press conference on January 19.

We know you can’t wait, that’s why we’re already telling you — remember, you read it here first in Supreme!

Huli man daw at magaling and all that

Happy, happy Christmas everyone! I know I am two three days late, but as they say, better late than never, right?

Since we are on the topic of lateness, let me also take this opportunity to say belated happy birthday to my mostest favoritest baka in the whole wide world, Aiba Masaki, who turned 26 four days ago! Otanjoubi omedetou, Ai-chan! Stay adorkable, you little nut *ruffles his wavy hair*

Then there's my first non-JE Japanese boy love, Oguri Shun! Belated happy 26th birthday to you too. You may have dyed your hair black, grew a bit of facial hair and ditched the white suits, but to me, you'll always be the kakkoi Hanazawa Rui.

And of course, to the most special Birthday Boy, the reason for this season: I may be terrible with dates but Your birthday is something I'll always remember. Let me say it again: happy birthday, Jesus! Your existence truly brought upon greatness in this world. You rock! \m/

I am annoyed. Not even a big scoop of Double Dutch Ice Cream generously sprinkled with chocolate chips and crisp almond flakes can take the kunot off my forehead. That's how fucking annoyed I am.

Tadaima and Other Things

  • Dec. 11th, 2008 at 1:30 AM
In two days, I ticked off two items in the must-see places in the Philippines checklist. That's one province a day for ya. Gadzooks. No wonder I am bone tired and sleepy. (What the hell am I doing here then?)

Like most TV shoots, this one was fun yet exhausting. I am not yet allowed to spill the beans about it but all I can say is, to quote a *cough* popular endorser/TV personality, "It's looking...bee-yoo-tee-pul." XDDD

The downside of this project? I was stuck in a gorgeous beach alright...but without internet access! Homaygaaad. I didn't think I'd survive another day--I need my daily dose of fangirling! Good thing I brought my favorite sakangs with me. So, in between takes and stuffing myself with MSG that is Lay's Original Potato Crisps, I laughed with tears in my eyes and squealed to my heart's content while watching the Hanakimi SP Javey burned for me. Yay to J-dorama-loving art director partners! I must state the obvious: Horikita Maki is the luckiest girl in Sunrise Nippon! First, Yamapi, then OguShun and Toma? EES. NOT. FAIR.

What else? Oh right, the title says 'other things...' Sorry, the soul is willing but the eyelids are weak. Heavily drooping to be exact. I'll write about the stuff I've been preoccupied with lately another time.

Good night! And sorry if I've wasted your time with this utterly useless post.

Quick fangirling post

I am addicted to Wondergirls' Nobody. It's all your fault, Sakurai Sho. XDDD
Seriously, you could give those five Korean girls a run for their money. Talong-talo sila sa balakang mo LOL :P

I want nobody, nobody but you! *runs off to watch Sho's dance again*

And They Call It Puppy Love

Last Friday, the office held its annual Halloween Party for the kids. I brought my niece Aryana who came as a fairy. A few moments later she and Golda and Onat's Zach were spotted doing this. Awwwww.

Effect courtesy of the awesome awesome Poladroid application (yes, it's Polaroid with a 'D' in between). ^_^

Just another day at the office

  • Oct. 20th, 2008 at 7:59 PM

Kate briefing Javey and I for revisions for something. We need to do something to make it more something by something (or something like that). Damn helmet. XD

This is just too cute.

*insert little fluttering hearts here*

SHEENA! At first I thought I was looking at Brent, hehe. Apparently, that dog is a she, and her name's Sakura. Lucky bitch. :P

In other news, Maggi is prolly getting ready to flail over our ichiban and his friends in Taipei. Zzis, don't forget to scream for the both of us or else Sho will get angry and stop flexing those air muscles, LOL. The amusing thing about this is, as Prec pointed out, while Arashi is creating a storm in Taipei, F4 JVKV is busy conquering the land of the rising sun. Palitan ng fanbase ito! XDDD

Ooh, since I'm talking about Shun and the Stormy Boys anyway, I just read in the OguShun community that the Hana Yori Dango Final DVD is finally available for pre-order! YAYAYAY! Although, I wonder if it has english subs. *crosses fingers*

Ahhh. Nothing beats fangirling on a Saturday to make up for a hectic, tiring, work-laden, conditioner-filled week. ^_^

P.S. Lui and Alma, bukas naaaaaaa! Excited na ako for our spazz deto!!! At ikaw naman, Amelia, look at my icon! *hug hug* To borrow the words of your NinoNino, "Go home already!" Para makapag-Sango na tayo, woooot~ :)

Who's excited to go to Hong Kong?

  • Sep. 24th, 2008 at 11:05 AM
We are! We are! *waves arms excitedly in the air* )

This will be my fifth time in Hong Kong, but this is the first time I'm going there purely for vacation. This also marks the first of many (hopefully!) out-of-the-country trips my best friend and I will be embarking. :)

Despite the fact that I have a bajillion things to do in the office before I go on leave this Friday, my mind is in vacation mode already. My mouth is watering for some foie gras sushi at Itamae Sushi! My feet is longing to step and go places via the wonderful invention of man that is the MTR. My pocket is quite nervous for all the money I will be spending in Uniqlo, Muji, HMV and let's not forget the night markets at Yau Ma Tei (hello, anime figures! Rurouni Kenshin, you shall be mine soon...) and Kowloon. Oh, there's one at Jardine Street too! I. CANNOT. WAIT! Pwede bang 'pag gising bukas, Saturday na at nasa HK na kami? *mekawish*

The question now is, should I bring Rui or not? Ooh, and most importantly...what to buy at Sino? Life-changing decisions to be made here, friends. XDDD

Gemu Otaku

  • Sep. 15th, 2008 at 1:05 PM

I rekindled the love for my gaming console with this over the weekend. I heart Hideyasu 'Soki" Yuki! My favorite ally is Akane 'Jubei' Yagyu because she's fast and feisty. And you know me when I get addicted--I finished Disc One (that's eleven chapters for ya) in less than 48 hours. I realized I actually could finish it in one sitting, but a girl had to eat and get some sleep at some point so there. XDDD

Speaking of games, an English version of "Yakuza II" has finally been released!!! Yatta! *lights fireworks* Can't wait to see Kazuma Kiryu and kick some Jap mafia ass again! Hmmm. I wonder if it's available na sa suking DBD-han? Better check MCS tomorrow.

Oh, before I forget...

HAPPY NINE YEARS, ARASHI! *starts singing "You are my soul, soul!"*

For the other 'A'

Tanjoubi Omedetou, Amelia-chan! Wish you lots of rabu from Neener! ^______^

For two days now, it has been raining cats and dogs.
And for two days now, I COMPLETELY HAVE FORGOTTEN TO BRING A FRIGGIN' UMBRELLA. WTF.

The lightning flashes are really scary, to the point I'm this close (index finger and thumb about one millimeter apart) to singing "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens..."

Or better yet, "Yabai-Yabai-Yabai." That song (and MatsuJun!) is such a ray of sunshine, I might start dancing around the office while crowning clueless colleagues with sunflowers, LOL. XDDD

(Don't mind me, I'm just trying to amuse myself while waiting for my boss' reply. *taps fingers on desk*)
